Technical SEO Services

Crawling, indexing, speed and rendering issues found and actually fixed — not just listed in a PDF.

Technical SEO is the unglamorous foundation everything else stands on. Google can’t rank pages it can’t crawl, won’t index, or takes eight seconds to render. And here’s the industry’s dirty secret: most technical audits end with a PDF, not a fix. Ours end with fixes.

What we hunt down

  • Indexing problems — pages Google refuses to index, pages it shouldn’t index but does, redirect chains, canonical conflicts, orphaned pages.
  • Crawl waste — parameter URLs, filter combinations and duplicate archives eating your crawl budget while money pages wait.
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals — the specific resources making your site slow, fixed at the code level.
  • Mobile rendering — what Google’s mobile crawler actually sees, which is often not what your phone shows.
  • Structured data — broken or missing schema, handled properly under schema markup.

Diagnose, fix, verify

We crawl your site the way Google does, cross-reference with Search Console data, and produce a prioritized fix list. Then — because we’re WordPress developers, not just auditors — we implement the fixes ourselves on WordPress and WooCommerce sites. Each fix gets verified: issue found, fix deployed, result confirmed in Search Console.

When you need this

Rankings stuck despite decent content and links. Traffic that dropped after a redesign or migration (also see SEO migration). A big site with thousands of pages and messy indexing. Or a new build you want done right before launch — honestly the cheapest time to fix technical SEO is before it breaks.

How the audit actually runs

We crawl your site with the same tools professional SEOs use to simulate Googlebot, capturing every URL, status code, redirect, and canonical tag site-wide, not a sample of a few dozen pages. That crawl data gets cross-referenced against Google Search Console’s own Coverage and Page Indexing reports, since what Googlebot actually sees and what your site thinks it’s serving sometimes disagree in ways that only show up when you compare both sources directly.

From there we build a prioritized list, not a wall of 200 flagged issues with no order. Some technical problems cost you real rankings and traffic right now. Others are minor and can wait. We tell you which is which honestly, instead of padding a report to look thorough.

The part most audits skip: actually fixing it

A lot of technical SEO “audits” in this industry end with a PDF and a list of recommendations you’re left to implement yourself, often requiring a developer you don’t have or can’t afford to hire separately. We’re WordPress and WooCommerce developers first, so the fixes happen on your actual site, not just on paper. Each item on the list gets closed out with a before-and-after: issue identified, fix deployed, result confirmed in Search Console or a live crawl re-check.

What you’ll need to provide

WordPress admin access is the main requirement, along with Search Console access if you have it already connected (if you don’t, we can help set that up as part of the audit, since it’s essential ongoing infrastructure regardless of what we find). For hosting-level issues like server response time, we may need to loop in whoever manages your hosting account.

Timeline

A full audit on a typical small business site takes 3-5 business days. Implementation timing depends on what we find, straightforward fixes like broken redirects and duplicate meta tags move fast, while deeper issues like a full crawl-budget restructuring on a large site take longer and get scoped separately once you’ve seen the findings.

Common questions

My site looks fine to visitors, why would it have technical SEO problems?
Most technical issues are invisible to a normal visitor by design, things like duplicate content Google sees but you don’t, or crawl budget wasted on filter URLs nobody manually navigates to. That’s exactly why these problems go unnoticed for years on otherwise well-designed sites.

Will fixing technical SEO guarantee a ranking increase?
No one can honestly promise that, and we won’t. What technical SEO does is remove obstacles that are actively working against your content and links. If those foundations are broken, no amount of new content or backlinks will perform as well as it should. Fixing them clears the path, it doesn’t replace the need for good content and authority separately.

How is this different from Core Web Vitals or speed optimization?
Core Web Vitals and site speed are part of technical SEO but narrower in scope, focused specifically on load performance metrics. Technical SEO covers the full picture: indexing, crawlability, structured data, mobile rendering, and speed together.

We just migrated or redesigned and traffic dropped, can you help?
Yes, this is one of the most common reasons clients come to us. See SEO migration for the specific process we use to diagnose and recover from a post-migration drop.

Crawl budget, explained simply

Google allocates a limited amount of attention to crawling any given site, more attention for large, frequently updated sites, less for small static ones. If that limited attention gets spent re-crawling thousands of near-duplicate filter and parameter URLs on an ecommerce site, your genuinely new and important pages wait longer to get noticed, sometimes months longer on large catalogs. Fixing this usually means a combination of robots.txt rules, canonical tags, and sometimes noindex directives applied carefully, not blanket blocking that accidentally hides pages you actually want ranked.

The audit-to-cleanup pipeline for larger sites

On sites with a few thousand pages or more, we typically run the Technical SEO Audit first to establish the full picture, then scope the Technical SEO Cleanup separately once you’ve seen exactly what needs fixing and roughly how much work that represents. This two-step approach means you’re never committing to an open-ended cleanup project before you know what you’re actually paying to fix.

New builds: fixing it before it exists is cheaper

If you’re planning a new site or a rebuild, technical SEO is the one area where prevention genuinely beats cure. A site built with clean URL structure, proper canonical handling, and fast-loading templates from day one never accumulates the years of small technical debt that eventually require a full audit and cleanup. If you’re already working with us on a website rebuild or new WordPress build, technical SEO best practices are built in from the start rather than bolted on afterward.
